UAV radar altimeter is a precision flight measurement device designed to accurately determine the altitude of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) above ground level. It works by transmitting radio waves toward the ground and measuring the time it takes for the reflected signals to return, ensuring real-time and highly accurate altitude data. The UAV radar altimeter features high reliability, strong anti-interference capability, and stable performance in various weather and terrain conditions. Compact and lightweight, it is suitable for integration into different drone platforms. Widely used in surveying, mapping, agriculture, inspection, and military applications, it enhances flight safety and navigation accuracy.

FAQ
NRA15/NRA24 | Radar testing
1.Testing is recommended outdoors, as indoor multipath effects may cause data deviations.
2.Ensure the radar antenna faces downward during testing.
3.For trees/grasslands, adjust the reference height based on density (e.g., use tree height for dense foliage).
NRA15/NRA24 | Verifying Radar Operation
With stable power and correct wiring, if the host shows no output:
Use a serial port tool or CANtest to check raw data output.
Verify data format compliance with the protocol.
If possible, inspect the radar’s LED indicators: a steady power light and blinking algorithm light indicate normal operation.
NRA15/NRA24 | Open-Source Flight Controller Versions
It offers custom versions for open-source flight controllers. For development support, contact Nanoradar’s technical team.
